Does the extension upload my PDFs?+
No, and not in the "trust us" sense. The extension makes no network request of any kind: the PDF engine is bundled inside the package, so there is no server for it to talk to. You can verify it in about ten seconds by disconnecting from the internet and merging two files, or by opening your browser's network tab while it works.
What permissions does it ask for?+
None. The manifest declares no permissions and no host permissions, so the install prompt has nothing to list. There is no background service worker and no content script, which means it is not running on the pages you browse.
Does it work in Brave, Opera or Vivaldi?+
Yes. Those are Chromium browsers, so install from the Chrome Web Store listing and it works the same. Edge users should use the Edge Add-ons listing.
Why only four tools when the site has dozens?+
Because a toolbar popup should open instantly. The four here cover the everyday jobs and keep the download small. Anything heavier, such as OCR or DjVu conversion, would add megabytes of WebAssembly to every install, so those stay on the website where they load only when you use them.
Is it free?+
Yes, free with no account, no watermark and no limits, like everything else here.
Do I still need the website?+
