How to share a PDF

  1. 1

    Add your PDF

Drop in the PDF you want to send.

  2. 2

    Share

Your device opens its share sheet with every app that accepts files.

  3. 3

    Pick an app

The file goes directly from your device into the app you choose.

Why share without a link?

Share links look convenient, but every link is a copy of your document sitting on someone's server, reachable by anyone who gets the URL and retained for as long as the host decides. Your device already has a better mechanism: the native share sheet, which passes a file app to app without any intermediary. PDFMergely uses that. Combine it with the other tools, merge, compress or protect a document, then send it on, and the whole workflow happens without the file ever leaving your hands.

Frequently asked questions

Does this create a shareable link?+

No, deliberately. A link means the file is hosted on a server somewhere, which is exactly what PDFMergely promises never to do. Sharing here hands the actual file from your device to the app you pick, the same as attaching it yourself, just faster.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?+

No. The share sheet is an operating-system feature: the file moves from your browser to the chosen app on the same device. PDFMergely never sees it.

Which browsers support this?+

Chrome, Edge and Safari on desktop, and effectively all mobile browsers on Android and iOS. Firefox on desktop does not support file sharing yet; there you simply download the PDF and attach it manually.

Can I share a file another tool just produced?+

Yes. Every result screen has a Share button next to Download (on supported devices), so you can merge or compress and send the result without saving it first.

Is it free?+

Yes, completely free with no sign-up.
