Saving the page from your browser first and converting it here gives you a document with real text rather than a screenshot, so it can be searched, quoted and read on a phone. How to save a web page as a PDF

Save the page in your browser
Press Ctrl+S or Cmd+S and choose Webpage complete, which saves the HTML along with a folder of images and stylesheets.

Open the saved file here
Add the .html file, and add the images and stylesheets from its folder so the page looks the way it did.

Choose the page setup and convert
A4 or Letter, portrait or landscape, and desktop layout if the page should not be squeezed to phone width. Then download.
Why not a screenshot
A screenshot is a picture: no search, no copying, no links, and unreadable when you zoom. A PDF made from the page keeps the text as text, which is what makes it worth keeping at all.

Converting several pages? Merge them into one document afterwards so the set stays together.
Frequently asked questions
Why can I not just paste the address?+
Because fetching a URL means sending it to a server, and this site never contacts another server on your behalf. Saving the page yourself keeps the whole operation on your machine, including any page you are signed in to.
Can I do this for a page behind a login?+
Yes, and it is the main advantage. Your browser is already signed in, so saving the page captures what you can see. A remote converter would only get the login screen.
Will the links still work?+
Yes. Links in the page become clickable links in the PDF, and the text stays searchable and selectable.
Why does my PDF look different from the page?+
Usually because the stylesheets were not included. Save as Webpage complete rather than HTML only, and add the files from the folder alongside it.
