Is a typed signature legally valid?+
In many countries an electronic signature, including a typed name in a handwriting style, can be valid for everyday agreements, because what counts is intent to sign. Some documents (such as wills, property deeds or notarised forms) need a wet or certified digital signature. If in doubt, check what the recipient accepts.
Why is the background transparent?+
So the signature sits on a document, letter or email without a white box around it. The checkerboard in the preview shows the transparent area.
Which format should I download?+
PNG works everywhere: Word, Google Docs, email signatures and PDF editors. Choose Large for printing. A drawn signature can also be downloaded as SVG, which stays sharp at any size.
Where is a saved signature kept?+
Only in this browser, on this device. It is never uploaded. Saved signatures appear in Sign PDF so you can add them to a document in one click, and you can delete them any time.
Can I use a photo of my real signature?+
Yes, in Sign PDF: choose Upload photo, and the paper background is removed so only the ink remains.
