Why make your letterhead in the browser?
A letterhead carries your business identity, and the letters you put it on are often confidential. Here the design, your logo and your documents stay on your device from start to finish, and your saved letterheads live in your browser rather than on someone else's server. It also knows that a Nepali letterhead, an Indian one and an American one are different documents, so you are not left copying a template that was drawn for another country.
Sign it before you send it
Once your letter is on letterhead, you can add a signature without printing anything: sign the PDF, then compress it if it is going by email.
Frequently asked questions
Will the letterhead cover the text of my document?+
Not with the default "Fit pages under the letterhead" option. Each page is scaled down slightly so it sits in the space between the header and the footer, so nothing is ever covered. Use "Print over the page" only when the top of your document is already blank.
Can I save my letterhead to use again?+
Yes. "Save on this device" keeps it in your browser, including the logo, so it is there next time you open the tool. It is never uploaded, and it is not shared between browsers or devices.
Why does the country matter?+
Because a letterhead is not the same document everywhere. Nepal prints the PAN, which is also the VAT number, and the company registration number. An Indian company has to show its CIN and usually its GSTIN. A British limited company must give its registered number, where it is registered and its registered office address. The Emirates expect the TRN and the trade licence number in the header. American and Canadian stationery carries no numbers at all, and the paper is Letter rather than A4. Picking your country sets the page size and asks for the right things by name.
Is this legal advice about what my letterhead must show?+
No. The fields follow the common practice in each country, and the rules change. Check what your own registrar, tax office or accountant requires. The tool prints what you type and nothing more.
What if my country is not listed?+
Pick the closest one, or any of them, and type your own numbers into the two registration fields. They are printed as you write them, and the page size can be set to A4 or Letter by hand.
Can I see an example before I start?+
Yes. The examples along the top fill in a complete letterhead for a Nepali trading company, a Nepali NGO, an Indian private limited, an Indian clinic, an American studio, a British consultancy, an Emirati trading LLC and an Australian practice. Load one, then change the name and details to yours.
Is my logo uploaded anywhere?+
No. The letterhead is built inside your browser. Your logo, address and the PDFs you apply it to never leave your device.
Can I put the letterhead on only the first page?+
Yes. Choose "First page only" and the rest of the document is left exactly as it was, which is how most formal letters are laid out.
Which logo formats work?+
PNG, JPG and WebP. A PNG with a transparent background looks best, and a wide wordmark logo is fine: it is sized to stay legible without taking over the page.
Can I type my letter here?+
Download the blank letterhead and write in any word processor, or print it and write by hand. If your letter is already a PDF, apply the letterhead to it directly.
